April Double Layout

I am so excited for all of the April challenges I am seeing! I decided to start with the Stick it Down Double Sketch:

I love these sketch challenges, especially the fact that they always use so many pictures. I tend to over-snap and end up with a million pictures I *love* and for some reason I feel as though they must ALL make it in the scrapbook! I also can't wrap my head around not working chronologically so I'm still in October of 2013 :)

I really liked B's dragon costume he picked out this year. We went to a thrift store and found this for $5.00, but it was missing it's wings. I made him new wings for a few bucks and he was the happiest kid ever! I incorporated the colors of his costume into the layout, green and purple!

I wanted to do more journaling than I really had room for...I am a bit long winded, if you hadn't already noticed. So I made a slit for a journaling tag, that way half of it is hidden for the time being.

I find myself saying "this is such a fun age" at every stage of B's life! But this Halloween was really memorable. He was so excited about everything, he had no memory of the year before so it was all exciting and new. The pumpkin patch was wonderful but my favorite memory from this time was his inability to say 'Halloween decorations' (which he could not get enough of) instead he would say "hallowations" (this spilled over into Christmas as well). It was adorable! What is the cutest mispronunciation or language blunder your kid(s) said?

Hope y'all have a scrap'n good time :)

  2. I'm like you...way more photos than layout space. Two page layouts are the saving grace. Love your layout. The Halloween theme is so cute for his costume. He looks like he had a great Halloween. Thanks so much for joining us at Stick It Down.
