Always Moving

November is here! My favorite time of year :) Loving the cooler evenings and mornings! I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!

My double page layout is actually a combination of THREE sketches this week.

I participated in the smash up for Sketches in Thyme (I absolutely adore this idea!) using these two sketches

And my second page is based on this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!

Here is my smash up!

And here is my LGS layout!

Here they are together!

A couple close ups :)

I tried some new things with this layout. I was really inspired by the gears on the sketch, it reminded me of how active my little boy is...it's like his gears just keep spinning rapidly! I had some action shots of him in motion...so I wanted to use the gears in my pages.

I also recently got a silhouette cameo, and was excited to try new things with it. I have never used it to cut fabric and I had these fun scraps laying around. I cut out gears from my fabric and sewed them onto the paper, I love that my cameo can cut fabric! So fun!

Crafting is important to me, and my kiddos! I just finished our "Art Wall" and I love how it came out.
Here it is finished...

And here it is with art displayed!

My favorite part is the silhouettes I had the kids help me create. I cut them out on vinyl and put them on the canvas. After the kids painted the canvas I pulled it up, and voila! They were very impressed with their work :) I am thinking maybe we will re-do them every year to see how their profiles change as they get bigger!

It makes me happy when I finish other projects, most of the time I am so focused on scrapping  I forget how fun it is to complete other kinds of projects too!
