Happy Holidays!

I have a confession...I absolutely hate scrapping Christmas pics. I am not huge on super traditional bright red and green layouts, and somehow that is what my layouts turn out to be when I scrap Christmas (despite every effort to NOT do that!). Most of the time I don't have great pics from Christmas because they are all opening presents so blurry and a bit confused...but last year B got on stage to sing with Grandpa and Grammy, and it was the cutest thing ever. I had these awesome pics and I wanted to create a Christmas layout worthy of their adorableness! :)

I love this sketch from Sketches in Thyme!

Here is my interpretation!

This sketch from GrandDiva's Creative Corner felt just as fun and wintery! I thought it would be a good compliment to the first sketch...

So here is my take :)

 And....together as a double layout!

Here are some close ups!

I used these fabric snowflakes and stencils to create soft embellishments for the page.

I actually enjoyed scrapping a Christmas layout, I think I will turn over a new leaf and give the holiday layouts a second chance!

The Christmas Magic paper pad from American Crafts really has changed my mind about traditional colors and themes, I absolutely can not get enough of them!

  2. Beautiful pictures and a wonderful layout. I love that your pages are not the traditional red and green. I too have a hard time doing the red and green Christmas theme. Thanks for joining us over at Sketches In Thyme.
