Welcome Little One

For my first May challenge I combined a Stick it Down and Stuck?! challenge to create a double layout!

Stick it Down has this awesome sketch, I was completely inspired by the hexagon pattern!

As always I love the Stuck?! Sketches challenge. I love the use of multiple pictures and the big circle!

To combine these I used a big title (which is actually a repurposed tag from a gift bag we received when C was born!) to tie the two pages together.

Here is the first page, based on the Stick it Down Sketch:

When I saw the sketch I instantly thought of the hexagon designed Duck Tape I was given for Christmas. It worked out perfectly! I cut around the hexagons and used them to create the design, I also made some of them elevated to create more dimension on the page.

And my second page based on the Stuck?! Sketch:

I incorporated some of the Duck Tape on this page to keep it cohesive. I also stuck (pun intended!) to the sketch pretty closely! The pictures of B meeting his baby sister for the first time always make me smile. The love between them is heartwarming.

Here are some close ups!

Still experimenting with texture paste. It is difficult to convey in the picture but the I added gold sparkle to the texture paste to tie into the gold throughout the layout. I love the way it sparkles, I wish it would be more evident in this picture!

The rose punch is from We R Memory Keepers. I can't say enough good things about this company. I love their products, but I especially love their customer service. I purchased a punch combo set from a local retailer and I got it home---it was not the punch advertised on the box! I was so disappointed. I contacted We R Memory Keepers and they sent me a replacement set without any hesitation at all! Amazing!

I don't make traditional baby books so I like to incorporate keepsakes into my scrapbook. I knew I had to use her foot prints, but I also included the hospital bands!

Scrap'n good times, this one is an especially good time :) Hope y'all are scrap'n good times too!
